Outside of working on projects in an academic setting, Alyson has found time to create films on her own with the help of her film friends.​



In the Summer of 2011 she directed, filmed, edited and co-wrote her first feature film "Becoming Sophie" with her sister Mallory (who you will recognize in many of her films). This was completed within 6 months without a budget and is now being processed to DVD.

 

She also recently finished her first music video for her friend Dave Lein's band Cartography. They plan to send it into festivals later this year.
